Fees
The Registration fee for the 2012 Red Warriors Reunion is $155. Included in that fee are costs for all hospitality rooms, program events, three evening meals including company dinners and a served final evening banquet. Unlike other reunions, however, there will be no breakfast provided as it was determined that everyone will be better served by purchasing their own breakfasts at the hotel, or at many of the nearby down town San Antonio restaurants.

Link to the Red Warrior Hotel Contessa site For the step by step reservations instructions and reserve your hotel room for the nights you are going to stay. Carefully look at the CHECK OUT date. Input your Checkout date as SUNDAY Sept. 2. Your discounted rate is all set and ready to go. Remember, your Reunion Registration fee does not cover your hotel reservations, breakfasts or lunches.
You are responsible for your accommodations. Or, If you prefer to call, ask for "Reservations," and tell them you would like to make room reservations for the Red Warrior Reunion being held in September 2012. It's important to tell them which nights you want to stay in the hotel, not days. Call the Hotel Contessa Reservations: 866-435-0900.Make sure they are giving you the discounted rate.
The Hotel Room Rate per night is $106.00/night plus tax, for a total of $123.76 per night.
PARKING is available across the street from the hotel and is $12.00 a day, as long as you do not leave the lot during the day. If you leave during the day, cost will be another $12.00 when you return. It's still less expensive than valet parking.
Note: when you register above, you will notice that Hotel Contessa reservation confirmation is $3.00 higher than the negotiated daily room rate quoted on this website. Please do not be alarmed by the difference. The website rate
of $123.76 (taxes included) is correct. The confirmation from the hotel includes an amenity fee, which although waived for our group, is a standard hotel fee that cannot be removed from the hotel reservation system. You will only be charged the negotiated room rate. There is no need to call the hotel.

The Hotel Contessa does not provide shuttle services. The San Antonio Airport’s primary shuttle company is AirportExpress. Shuttles depart the airport to downtown hotels every 15 minutes, between 7:00 am to 1:30 am. AirportExpress tickets are accessible through the ticket kiosk located at the airport or reservations may be made in advance online at www.saairportshuttle.com. One way fare: $18.00, Round trip: $32.00.

The airport is located approximately 15 minutes from downtown San Antonio, the average taxi fare from the airport to downtown is $25.00, one way.

NOTE: In the past, Breakfasts were part of the registration fee. Lunches have always been on your own. The reason breakfasts are not include this year is that it was determined that the cost per person was less if you purchased breakfast from the hotel restaurant, Las Rambla, at a discount of 50% for Red Warriors. For you, this was less expensive than a contracted breakfast and a higher registration fee.
Come comfortable for registration. Ladies may dress casual for all day events. For all Red Warriors, our attire for Thursday's opening ceremonies at 15:00 is simple...our Association uniform is blue jeans , Red Warrior T-Shirt (first timers to the reunion will be issued a shirt at registration) and a Red Warrior cap. Those of you who already have an older cap, bring it along to transfer all of your pins. On Day Two, Friday, the morning attire is the same, our Red Warrior T-shirt and our Red Warrior cap. In the morning we will have our Company group pictures taken. Afternoons: Casual. The Saturday Night Banquet is a bit more formal. For men, sport coats, with or without ties, are appropriate, or wear your military uniform. You are encouraged to wear your military medals. For the ladies, no formal gowns ...just "going to church" clothes.
WHAT TO BRING
Bring your own camera of course, and bring a small pocket sized pad of paper and a pencil ...you'll be writing down addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of new found buddies. To view a few pictures from the 2010 reunion select the link to the right.
A great time! Lots of laughs, a few lumps in your throat, a sense of pride, meeting old friends, meeting new friends, and a lot of "Do you remember..." You are encouraged to bring your Vietnam memorabilia and photo collections to share. Again, don't forget to bring your camera!
Our PX will be on site and will have limited items for sale, brass and cloth Unit crests, 4th Division patches, decals, etc. Other Red Warrior Authors may also have their books for sale.
